My words travel across seas, oceans and mountains
Carried by a creative breeze, fluttering over plains
They stop here and there to be read, sometimes embraced
By people I’ll never meet – such a shame, and what a waste

My words reach you, touch you like a lover’s sweet caress
and invade your mind – this thought leaves me breathless
For one short moment, a precious, tenuous connection is made
A connection I cherish, with a writer’s specific lack of shame

    1. Thank you but no, I’m not a lefty πŸ™‚
I switched hand for the photograph as I’d been writing for quite a while and my fingers were painful. I suppose that’s the price to pay for insisting on using pen and paper but I like to do that from time to time πŸ™‚

  2. You are right…your words never fail to “touch” me even though we’ve never met. I really really love your work because it seems to speak directly to my heart. And I also love the picture by the way πŸ˜‰ ❀

Thank you Hugsy, for *everything* and for even appreciating my attempts at creating “arty” pictures πŸ˜‰ ❀

      1. I would say that your attempt at creating an “arty” picture was definitely successful. I really love it. It perfectly matches your poem too. ❀

  3. I think that this piece is my favorite (from what i read through this morning). Of all artists, I betcha that writers/poets are the most attuned to this communication between artist & art lover, & the most pleased, moved & satisfied. Thanx
