Cornucopia of pleasures

caught in the rain
in our veins
pushed up against the wall
our senses on alert
obliterating all thoughts
we’re fierce
we’re pirates
volatile cannon balls in
monotonous bacchanals
a cornucopia of pleasures
push harder
go faster
we must reach
the harbour
let us show
let us sow
the passion
of the lover
of the fighter
true grit
of the conqueror
Raise the flag
burn the map
we got there
in the end
quenched the thirst
soothed the burn
now let’s do it
all over

Drunken and self-indulgent writing, but that’s all I’ve got.

    1. Ohh…well, I genuinely don’t know what to say…feeling bashful over here. This is just my drunken rendition from last night…highly self-indulgent I thought…but thank you my friend, for your awesome comment and for being awesome yourself 🙂

    1. Thank you! That’s what writing is like: sometimes things just “write themselves” and other times it’s more laboured…but with me it seems that words do flow and pour out when alcohol is added to the mix…and when recounting real events lol

      1. Ha! Not exactly, I think it’s more a case of “feeling like” pirates…you know, dark alleyway…rainy night…alcohol-fuelled lust and risk-taking …feeling reckless…that kind of thing… lol

      2. Lol, your French is fine since you pretty much got the idea there 😉
        Yes I suppose you’re right, the French do drink beer but it’s generally not the beverage of choice . I can’t abide it myself, give me wine any day 🙂

  1. I wanted to write up something today about the lust Waco inspired in me last weekend. You did it perfectly. Thank you. Reblogged because you are awesome.

      1. Your words convey passion better than mine. I will probably write a narrative about my own emotions and drives from this weekend, but they will pale in comparison to the heat yours produce.

      2. Thank you for such a fantastic compliment…I’m actually blushing over here…I’m so pleased you think so highly of my writing! You should definitely write your own piece about your weekend though…I, for one, would like to read it 😉
