Happy New Year

Dita

The people of WordPress have meant so much to me this past year: so many of you…I’ve never met…but you’ve made your way into my heart all the same. Through my writing, you have seen parts of me that my “real life” friends rarely see — it makes you all very important to me, it gives us a special connection that I truly treasure.

I want to thank you all for being part of my life, for letting me in your world, for sharing thoughts, ideas, words and feelings. I also want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year — I hope it’s full of creativity, inspiration, and mainly, full of love. Because where there’s no love, there’s nothing.
❤️ See you on the other side of 2015 ❤️
Nathalie

Ps: Why Dita? Because I love her, because she’s a girl after my own heart, because those are my kind of ‘festive’ photos and because I’ll probably, somehow, end up in a giant Champagne glass myself tonight at some point — joke! (maybe) 😉

      1. I’ve got cousins and aunts and uncles (all on my mother’s side for some reason) who decided when I was 5 years-old that I was a weirdo because I always walked around with my face in a book. They thought it wasn’t normal and that it showed I was going to be a deviant type! Lol
Needless to say, my life choices since then have proved their original diagnostic right. I have nothing in common with those people and never mind the fact that I’m related to them by blood!

      2. I’ve always felt like and was treated like the weirdo too. I really don’t talk with my family much because we have nothing to talk about. I’m ok with that though 🙂

    1. Thank you for the lovely kind words, and indeed, this is a fantastic place 🙂
Thank *you* for your own awesome writes, and for being such a supportive friend on here *smiles*
I’ll be raising a glass to all of you tomorrow night – have a great, wonderful New Year 🙂

  1. I was thinking the same thing today about WordPress connections. The opportunity and willingness to express yourself in real life are far less than it is with blogging. Often many thoughts only exist through our writing.

  2. Happy New Year, Nathalie! I’m happy to be part of your blogoshphere. BTW, have you ever seen the film “One from the heart”? There’s a scene similar to the first photo that you’ve posted. Wonderful!

      1. It drove Francis Ford Copolla into bankruptcy, but it was a visually stunning film, with a Tom Waits and Crystal Gale soundtrack. A very nice film for a quiet night and a bottle of Cabernet.

    1. I would be so honoured by this compliment if I didn’t have a strong suspicion I’m the *only* French Lady you know! Hahaha
Thanks Matt, I hope your New Year was good and I hope that 2016 treats you really, really well 😀
P.S: Of course you could, my evil twin 😉
P.P.S: it’s really good to see you 🙂

  3. I’m just happening on this and glad I did, I love the lady in the cocktail glass, gorgeous. I feel a strong connection to my wordpress compatriots, i think it is because in my entire world I am the only one with an interest in the arts! Sad but true.

    1. Oh, I do have people in my “real life” interested in the arts, but nevertheless there is something very special about WordPress…because you are able to delve daily into the minds of other creative people, it’s such a wonderful thing. It does create connections, lovely connections that I would not want to be without now 🙂

  4. Reblogged this on arwenaragornstar and commented:

I didn’t have the heart to write something new and although I will most definitely not end up in a giant champagne glass tonight because this is going to be a quiet one for me for obvious reasons…the feelings in last year’s post still apply. Love to all of you 💜
