Words of stone

I would have needed words of fire
plucked from the burning pyre —
scorching sparks in my weary palm,
to melt your icy, hypocritical heart
but all I had were words of stone,
the seeds of desolation sown
by your sudden raging storm
sitting there on a throne of bones,
I wept
I had never felt so alone

I’m really happy to have you as a friend on Word Press.
