Alone
lost
in forests
of winter frost
& tortured tales
so many different paths
she may yet
take –
the indifferent stars
& magenta moon
will not help –
she tenses
frustrated
and exhales
cloudsΒ
of silvery sadness
*This is the result of a writing prompt on Twitter. I usually type my musings, but I was on a train and my phone pretty much dead, hence the scribbling with a pen – nice change*

Very good, and you’ve excellent handwriting to boot. Mine looks like a chicken on crack stepped in ink and ran across a piece of paper.

Lovely words!! I love the photo too. The horse made me feel so bereft. The girl looks beautiful and hopeful. Nicely done, Beauty β€

Lovely poem and handwriting…mine’s barely legible, I prefer typing. What was the prompt?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thank you! The prompt was just one word: “silvered”. I wrote this then tweaked it for Twitter so it would fit within the character limit. And I used “silvered sadness” originally, but really liked “silvery” so much better that I changed it for the blog π

The moon & stars are shunning me too. I love your handwriting – how unique it is! Sending hugs, chocolate, and lots of wine. The good stuff. Xx

Hello my friend
Thank you for stopping by and for the follow. I already follow you. It sounds like we are get it done people and can appreciate another opinion. The art in the above is magical, makes me think children day dreaming. I’m not sure why you followed me. I don’t write by Journalism standards even thou is was a life goal at one time. I have only written one poem as an adult. Reading poetry at WP has given me the itch.
See you soon at your place or mine.
