Confession Time

These guys…they have been present somehow for every major event of my life…I wasn’t around in their heyday but I got lucky enough to see them live a few times here in the UK…Wembley Stadium, the O2, Hyde Park… best concerts I’ve ever been to… and the only concerts when I went full on rock chick and flashed my bra at the toxic twins (that’s as far as I would ever go, I don’t have the temperament to be a groupie).
Whether it’s falling in love, heartbreak,Β or the best sex of my life, they were always in the background – not literally obviously – my graduation day was made perfect by Joe Perry making a one-night appearance with his band in my adopted British seaside town.

It’s late, I’ve had a glass of wine, and tonight it’s all about them again: the above video – aptly called “Amazing” – I am unable to watch without having a mini orgasm due to Joe perry (4.16 to 4.30…Β OMFG!), is this too much info? Sorry (#NotSorry) but tonight is confession time (Apparently).Β The very same song has also got me through some tough times, those words I know by heart and I have sung them in many different places with various different people.
And now for another couple of oldies but goodies: both hugely important songs to me.

  1. I rode my bike right up front alongside Steven Tyler at the Toys in the Sun run in 2008 when he served as Grand Marshall for the event at Markham Park in Sunrise, Fl. He was the nicest friendliest guy you could ever want to meet! I swear, it’s true. πŸ™‚ There were over 30,000 bikes participating and the line of bikes went for miles. Joe Perry was not there :/

    1. I love this story!! I don’t get star struck because I don’t believe that “celebrities” are somehow this “holy” version of a human being …but I make an exception for Aerosmith (not that I believe they’re holy, just that I can’t help but be in awe of them)
I’m sure Steven Tyler is a thoroughly nice guy, sounds like he is according to you anyway πŸ˜‰

      1. Hi! No, I’m not starstruck at all, but I he was very down to earth and out for such a good cause, Toys for Tots, without any compensation for him. Have a very lovely day! ❀
