I remember seeing this and thinking “man, the president truly is going over the top here” and I think that it was then that this man Trump, you call him narcissist….agreed. But a titan like Trump, hard working (actually I don´t think this guy even sleeps), incredible driven, a no quit attitude no matter what, smart as hell, those are qualities I admire in a person (except the narcissist part and that audiovideo of him talking about women, but a bunch of guys do speak like that as you well know and most humans know)plus most of the policies that he has put forward if he follows through he´ll do good for the country I think. We´ll have to wait and see.
This video, I think Obama helped him. You don´t go after a person like this and humiliate them in a world stage and in this particular case with the personality Trump has, he probably said to him “I´m gonna get your job you bastard”, just for the sake of it, to show him a lesson, now that he got the job he might be thinking, “to hell with it, I got it now, and my vicepresident can do the day to day decisions” (not really, but you get what I´m saying)
I saw Mike Pence in action during the campaign press interviews. He had the world’s most difficult job and an indefensible candidate and he let water slide off him. A true diplomat and as smart as a whip. People are pretending they don’t see it but the man is amazing.
It is a wonderful question. Oh, to be an insider. There are talented people in his orbit. If only someone had taken the time to notice that. There has to be some secret sauce but we will have to wait to find out. Again, instead of burning and looting, we should be taking a good look at our priorities.
I think people are protesting because they are just horrified, and I for one can’t blame them. I’m not saying the protesting should go on and on but it is to be expected straight after the election results. Of course there are some talented people around him, without them he would never have got that far because he’s just not capable. I don’t know, for me it’s a frightening time when somebody like that, unable to answer questions about policies during the debates actually gets the top job.
I do not want to see the Brexit style hate attacks against immigrants or minorities. People have a right to feel afraid. The violent abuse of others and destruction of property undermines the purpose of the protests. It lends weight to the argument that elitism are classism are the real problems. I was expecting peaceful demonstrations. No one can justifiably call protestors whiny babies if they’re marching and shouting for their rights to be upheld. I was sad that people lost their lives. One life was too much.
Couldn´t agree more with you on the choice D the Trump made for a vice president. This guy seems extremely competent, smart decision by Trump to choose him as VP. Which I think is one of the good qualities of Trump, seeing the potential in people, and surrounding himself with the best to do specific jobs (in most cases). Hopefully his policies go good for the U.S.
I hope this decision turns out well for the country. Everyone is watching him, especially those who voted for him. It is lovely to hear from Charly. Best wishes for the week ahead. xo
Thank you, and I should add that is also hearing nice things from you. Appreciate it.
You too have a great week ahead…guess what!!!! Still read ya during the week, hummmmmmmm….. 😉
just flirting, plus i´m silly but i can be a grizzly?
Hi Charlie!
I’m not disputing the man works hard, I’m sure he does but plenty of assholes work hard.
I agree watching the video that they went overboard, I thought so at the time and I do even more now. You’re right, Trump must have been thinking then “I’m going to make you eat your words, you shits!” And he did as well.
I also know about men and “locker room talk”, you’d have to be naive not to know many guys speak like that (without really meaning what they say) and that wasn’t my biggest problem with him by far. It’s his general attitude to women and everyone who isn’t him really.
My problem is that he’s totally unqualified to hold the president job, he’s not clever enough (business savvy and hard-working doesn’t come into it) to learn either.
The biggest problem of course is that he’s a narcissist and they only care about themselves. Whatever they do they do for themselves, not anyone else. Plus, they get enraged easily and you can’t have a president without a cool head. Look at the way he’s been acting on Twitter since he got elected. He won and he’s STILL acting like a petulant child. He acted like a child throughout the campaign. I don’t share your belief that he’s capable of doing right by the States, but I guess we’ll see soon enough.
It’s fine, Charly, don’t worry 🙂
Sorry I didn’t see your comment till today coz I never got the notification – WordPress is still messing up for me…I’m blaming Trump for that too. Joking, not really 😜
Mocking is appropriate to the occasion when those who mock and those who are mocked don’t sit at the same well-served tables. Otherwise it looks like a showing exercise in biting and digesting one another. This is the case when such long time practices don’t make both perfect but do make rather perfect frenemies and gamblers of the same circle taking their turns every four years or more. The rest are bamboozled around.
I wonder how many people remember this video. I cringed a little when I saw it in 2011 because the look on Trump’s face was unmistakably “hammer time”. Watching a ranty YouTube video yesterday and the commentary was that journalists were so focused on the fake tan and dodgy hair that they didn’t see the tsunami of pain headed their way. This is valuable lesson in not paying so much attention to the surface details and really really focusing on what is most important at the moment.
I think it IS a little cringey actually. I thought so at the time and even more so now. Is it because I have the benefit of insight? I don’t know, but I do think it was just a little too much, with Trump in the room as well. That stony face of his! It’s like you can hear him think: “go on, laugh, say what you have to say, you’ll see”
I think the media definitely helped Trump with the whole “orange with a wig says something stupid again”…the media IS corrupt-Trump is right about that-and out of touch with what the average person thinks/wants from their news.
Everything about this election was badly handled…well, almost everything because Trump somehow claimed victory.
Something the rest of the world may not be seeing, the first 3 members of the Trump administration are actually a woman, a gay man,and a black man. KellyAnne Conway, the first woman to ever manage a successful presidential campaign, Peter Thiel, and Ben Carson.
Oh, we *are* seeing it. It may not be widely reported since the media is so biased (something which has hugely served Trump in this election campaign) but anyone keeping an actual eye on the news —rather than just skimming it—won’t have missed it.
It’s just that those 3 people, regardless of sexuality and gender, don’t really offer the world much comfort in terms of how they’ve ‘appeared’ so far. I hope that makes sense, it does in my head but it’s late and I’m half asleep 😉
Wow…that vid is kinda messed up. I think I’d want a bit of revenge too. Very obvious none of them thought he was serious or even had a chance. I hope shit doesn’t go bad and that this whole thing is more of a wake up call to government that the people are sick of politics.
Yeah, exactly! Trump has his thunder face on listening to them and I bet he was thinking then: “I’m gonna get you, you bastards, you’ll see” -and they did see, didn’t they?
It’s really uncomfortable viewing actually. Obviously they didn’t think he stood a chance but they should have left well enough alone.
Anyway, we’ll see what comes next, won’t we?

Yep. I think we will all see a more professional Trump going forward, but some words when spoken are hard to come back from.
