Yep, that’s me shamelessly plugging The Life Assistance Agency by Thomas Hocknell, because people should read more & they should support indie authors/publishers. There are far too many talented writers languishing in obscurity while the press & critics keep raving about J. K. Rowling as if she actually needs anymore publicity.
The Life Assistance Agency can be found Here
It’s a great read and this is not just me promoting a friend: gripping story, witty, writing that’s actually brilliant at times, and last but not least, it’s genre defying. Tom is the most original writer I’ve encountered in years – and originality is priceless because it’s so damn rare. If you’re looking for something different to read, give this book a try – I’d be surprised if you didn’t enjoy it. Plus, get in there before the sequel comes out next year 🙂
Shamelessly plug all you want – providing that you post photos of you enjoying your books. 😍

You’re sweet, Rob, but looking at the pics now I’m thinking I should have tried harder! Put some makeup on for a start 😑

Natalie’s approval, praise and friendship aren’t easily won. Her plugging this book so enthusastically has made me most curious and interested and it sounds like a great, quirly and original read. Downloading this now.

I do hope you enjoy the book, let me know what you think – and thanks again 💜

My pleasure and I definitely will let you know what I think 🙂
May be a while until I get to it, though.

That’s ok, I can imagine what your book list is like and if it’s anything like mine, it will indeed be a while (I’ll be waiting here patiently 😉)

It’s good to see you too, Diana. I’ve been off WordPress for ages and I’ve got lots of catching up to do. As for the shameless plugging, I’m sure there’s more to come, haha!

J.K. is increasingly irrelevant these days, even SJWs are annoyed with her. Usually indie books have wall to wall five star reviews which makes me wary but as I trust your opinion I will add it to the list for when I have some cash available.

I’m so pleased you trust my opinion considering I trust yours, my fellow enlightened bookworm. Do you know how precious your comments have been to me over the years? You’re as obsessed with books as I am and you always, always seem to perceive exactly what it is I’m trying to say and…who I am as a person too. As I’ve repeatedly said, I owe you a ton of drinks in a quaint pub somewhere. One day.

I am glad I can give you the comments that stand up to the quality of your writing and thoughts. Books are so amazing and the people who have come into my life through talking about them, and the experiences I have had, has been nothing short of amazing. I think we have the same thoughts quite a lot of the time and get riled up by the same things. I look forward to our pub day/weekend!

Right? There are some incredible books out there not receiving the publicity they deserve.

A good book is always a blessing to be swimming in a pool of imagination and knowledge.
I too, I’m reading this book….(The Illuminatus! Trilogy) by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. The best sci-fi book. 🙂
I’ll keep a list on Thomas Hocknell. 🙂

All right – you have me intrigued now!
Do I prefer you as a blonde or brunette!!! 😉 (Gentlemen prefer blondes hence the choice is obvious – Brunette, naturalment!) 🙂
But to be serious (just for a second) 🙂 I tried to download Tom’s tome from the link, after a quick look around – i don’t visit Amazon if i can help it. – Guess which books they were peddling at the bottom of the page?
SIX Harry bloody Potter books?
After i ordered my copy it kindly told me ‘Foreigners’ can’t buy from Amazon.co.uk! I had to go to Am…dot com dot au to get my copy!
I’ll give you my review when i’m done. 🙂
(Converse All Stars??… Lookin Goood! Let’s face it you’d make Congleton Cricket junior all-stars look good, although i’m not sure how one would wear them?) 🙂

I’m a natural brunette 😉 and that photo was not at all flattering but I wanted to get that post up quickly so I went with it. I’m glad you followed the recommendation and bought the book – be sure to let me know what you thought when you’ve read it – I’d be very surprised if you didn’t enjoy it though. (Glad you like the Converse too – I’ve got so many pairs, I clearly can’t grow up)

HI there – thanks so much for the support. I hope you enjoy it, but even if not then please d leave a review on Amazon. it really helps apparently, although I’m at a loss as to why! All the very best. Tom

Hi Tom – and thanks!
I confess, the psychology of the success of recommendations remains mostly a mystery to me also, but if they didn’t work there would not be so much netspace dedicated to them, i guess? 😉
A comment from someone you will never know personally is better than no comment from our best friend/lover i expect!. 🙂 The logical extension of Wilde’s: “The only thing worse than being talked about…”
I’ll be in touch. 😉
