Bikini body in the sun, half-cocked gun, a summer weapon, a sassy siren sensing and inviting desire, it was a wave rushing towards me, I was riding the crest, eyes closed beneath my shades, heat spreading between my legs,
but suddenly it all changed, no rhyme, no reason, what the actual fuck was going on, my crazy brain switched moods randomly, I’ve always been my own worst enemy – it was
a senseless dream starting with a less than vague promise of sex and ending with
Van Gogh penniless and in despair trying to drown himself in the deep sunflower fields—which had long haunted him—their colours and shapes having intensified his misery.
What does it all mean?
I woke up tangled in my sheets—
I had too much to dream
last night
“Bikini body in the sun, half-cocked gun, a summer weapon, a sassy siren sensing and inviting desire, it was a wave rushing towards me, I was riding the crest, eyes closed beneath my shades, heat spreading between my legs,”
The stuff of dreams for sure. But it turned into a nightmare. It’s great to see you writing again. BTW, not that I’m compulsive with your photos, but what’s with the boxes? Are you moving?

Haha everybody keeps asking me. My loft is being converted so I’ve had builders in for weeks and the whole house is a mess – that’s it, that’s the explanation. As you can see, boxes and mess everywhere does not keep me away from selfies 😆

I’m well. Writing and recording, and doing some reading, too. How have you been?

See, when you say ‘doing a bit of reading too’, I really haven’t got a clue what it is you’re saying. This is due to past convos. But maybe you actually HAVE just been doing some reading? 🤔

Ah yes, I do miss those convos. 🙂 I am reading a book now called ‘The Strange Death of Europe’ after watching a podcast with Douglas Murray. But it’s not nearly as entertaining as past conversations. 😉

Omg are you reading it?? It’s BRILLIANT! The most important non fiction book of the last 10 years IMO

Yes, I just got it Saturday. I find it to be very similar to what is happening in the US. If only people were paying attention to reality and not to 30 second news spots.

Nice. I LOVE the imagery here. Kinda got me a bit..um…steamed up, if ya know what I mean. Maybe it’s time now for me to dream, too. 🙂

Then we could turn that field of sunflowers into a starry, starry night made for one as beautiful as you. 😍
I seriously like this piece by the way…. nearly as much as the selfie!! 😉
Hope you’re staying sane in an increasingly insane world?

Aw, you’re too kind! But I’m really chuffed you liked this little thing 😁
As for the rest…I’m trying dammit, I’m trying! But it’s hard, it’s getting worse isn’t it? 😳

It’s certainly not good! 🥴
Hopefully the end of the month will be the watershed for the Brexit insanity in UK politics and then you can just settle down to trying to deal with the aftermath and the consequences of ‘going it alone’?
Even more hopefully the US is starting finally to realise just what a disastrous decision they made back in 2016 and the end of the Grump is coming ever-closer.
Here in Paradise it’s pretty much business as usual – tax cuts for the rich, commissions into the banking industry for breaches of conduct, resulting in a mild talking to by our treasurer and a sliding of most of the blame over to financial counsellors, and a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with our major trading partner China who are cyber-hacking our government and Universities while infiltrating our country with pro-Beijing activists and then giving us stern warnings to not be critical of their government when we call the crap out.
It’s almost Utopian by comparison! 😉
Hang in there… and write more! oxox

I think I can taste Brexit, it’s coming! But after the weekend we’ve had I’m feeling thoroughly sick of politics and the news in general. I think I’m going to peek at your blog for some flowers – just what I need 😁
(So sweet of you to encourage me to write though 😘)

Van Goth might have been a more romantic painter than Van Gogh I think? 🙂 ❤

Great to be back and get my eyes on your writing again! Thanks for posting this dream, which like a dream seems to shimmer in and out of focus and make mad tangents. Disorientingly good!
And also, does your phone case look like a cassette? Brilliant!!

One never has too much to dream. Keep on dreaming. 🙂
So the original version was Van GoTh. Much better. Freud would have had a field day.
Nice text. Good to see you writing again.
A bientôt mon amie.

Haha don’t bring Freud into this, please! 😂
I’m not really writing about anything but politics, and most of it isn’t right for this blog – but I’m writing!
Have a great Sunday 🙂
